FIND YOUR PHOTOGRAPHER
Before I begin to go through who and why I chose this amazing photographer, there is one key point that every couple must consider when choosing their wedding photographer. Wedding photography is very different to those who shoot artistic styles or interior decoration shots; on your day, you want a photographer who can capture the most intimate and emotional moments. Not just the decoration you put into place or the wide shot of the venue, but also the people in you world, the first look of a father to his daughter, or the nerves of the groom before he sees his future wife, these moments are a forever moment and you want to make sure that it is captured for a lifetime.
When Josh and I were considered the photography, we had key things to think about, firstly style, what kind of photos did we like? Rustic, alternative, silly, structure of effortless? Personally I hate myself on camera, I am the kind of person that is better photographed when I don’t know the camera is there, I hate posing, this for me was very important, I wanted a photographer that could blend into the crowd, someone that could be a ghost in the room and yet capture everything. Both Josh and I also wanted someone who’s images caught the special moments between family, and the style to be effortless and elegant, a timeless photo. Enter John Nassari.
I met John at a couple of networking events and we instantly clicked, John was incredibly down to earth, a family man and had a beautifully artistic eye for detail. Having seen some of John’s previous work from other large weddings as well as his variety of porfolio’s from shooting extravagant hotels such as 80 at 80 with the Manderine Oreintal hotel, I knew that John would be perfect to work within the Rosewood London as well as having the knowledge of working with large wedding crowds. I later introduced him to Josh, Josh, like myself, instantly loved John. Josh likes to think he understands the work of photography (because he did it in A levels…. Yeah ok babe) Josh and John were nattering on about different perspectives, angles and lighting.

After our consultation with John, Josh turned to me and said, ‘yup, I like him. Lets lock him in.’ One vital element of hiring your photographer is that you all need to connect on a personal level. Photographers are with you from the moment of getting ready, to the party late evening. They are with you all day and its important that you all get on well. Especially if you are planning on having some traditional group shots (which are a nightmare, by the way) because the photographer will give you guidance, they know how to place your guests and family to get the right shots.
This brings me on to the point of your shots, when picking a photographer, have an idea of whether you want your photos natural and if you are planning to have groups. We had a couple of group shots only because our families such as parents and grandparents insisted on it.
The work that goes in to photography astounds me, photographers can take over 5,000 images in one night, they are not just working on the day but will go through every image, pick the very best and then edit them ready to send over as your final images. John Nassari is one of the best professionals I have ever had the pleasure to work with, so it is a great honour to introduce you to John who talked with me through all the important points when searching for your perfect wedding photographer.
